El presente dossierdel Boletín de Antropología es el resultado del esfuerzo colectivo emprendido por un grupo interdisciplinario de investigadores interesados en el pasado indígena del continente americano, así como en el concepto de la memoria y su uso en las comunidades indígenas. Estos elementos forman el hilo conductor que guían los trabajos aquí reunidos, en ellos el lector descubrirá diversidad de temas y posturas teórico-metodológicas en torno al problema de la memoria indígena desde la época prehispánica hasta la actualidad, en un amplio marco geográfico, pues se incluyen análisis de realidades sociales que se han desarrollado en lo que actualmente son varios países de América Latina. Asimismo, las miradas disciplinarias también son diversas; aquí encontramos propuestas desde la historia, la antropología, la arqueología y la historia del arte.
