The following are five poems by the German expressionist author Else Lasker-Schüler with their Spanish translations. The concern for the reliability of the source of the German version from which they were translated led to a rigorous search within the digitized archives of the author. This endowed the translation exercise with a philological perspective due to the use of tools from other fields, such as textual criticism. During the translation process, special attention was paid to the author's original style, full of neologisms and formal innovations and poetic proposals typical of the expressionist movement to which she belonged.
Juan Pablo Sepúlveda Carmona

https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/lyl/article/view/361288

The present work consists of a stage of recognition of linguistic patterns of support for the composition of essays. The method includes an analysis of the words and restructuring of meaning. As a result, a code of the structural composition is obtained. Linguistic interpretation is defined in a linear dimension and a non-linear dimension, which includes the reading algorithm, within the framework of meaning. Which allows us to conclude in an innovative writing format with cognitive abilities related to pattern recognition, structuring of contextual ideas, vertical or taxonomic reading, in a general message, which allows us to optimize the space and literary resource.
Cecilia Sandoval-Ruiz

https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/lyl/article/view/358077

This article characterizes the argumentative dimension that runs through the genres linked to didactic planning (syllabuses, programs, lesson plans, teaching sequences, etc.). Based on an analysis of 66 syllabuses of pedagogical training subjects from different teacher training courses offered by a public university in Argentina and interviews with students, we found that didactic planning is a practice determined by a strong argumentative, critical, and epistemic dimension. In these genres, the argumentative function is central, since planning requires constructing a coherent perspective on what, how, for what, for whom, and why what is taught is taught and needs to be worked on as a backbone content in university teacher training.
María Elena MolinaConstanza Padilla

https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/lyl/article/view/359131

https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/lyl/article/view/359575

The article argues that El Mal de Montano operates as a diachronic allegory of a literary canon that spans from the modern to the contemporary period. To do so, it focuses on the growing sense of uncertainty and distinguishes two mechanisms: (1) ambiguity and (2) the link to the historical-literary tradition. While the first refers to the rewriting of a basic narrative (New Year's Eve in the port of Valparaíso) amidst a process of generic hybridization; the second refers to the historical-literary symbols of the canon that distance themselves from the early modern paradigm and that stage ambiguity.
Maite Pizarro Granada

This article focuses on the study of the narrative of exile in Equatorial
Guinean literature, taking as a reference the work The Powers of the Tempest, written
by Donato Ndongo Bidyogo. In this novel, the author reveals the events that occurred in
Equatorial Guinea after independence in 1968. It realistically and through narrative,
describes the exile that several writers had to face in order not to be arrested by the
dictatorial regime of this period that had initiated a hunt for intellectuals, turning any
writer into an enemy of the regime.
Pedro Beyeme Bituga Nchma

https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/lyl/article/view/359611

Literacy has undergone a reconfiguration process, particularly with the recognition of unschooling practices and multimodality. To study this process in Latin America, a qualitative and hermeneutical-comprehensive documentary review was carried out on a corpus of research articles on this topic in Latin America, published in journals indexed in Scopus, between 2018 and 2023, with open access. The findings were organized based on two theoretical categories: From traditional literacy to literacies in context and the role of literacies and literate practices in the formation of a critical, autonomous, and democratic citizenship.
David Alberto Londoño VasquezAlvaro Ramírez Botero

https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/lyl/article/view/359820

The objective of this article is to analyze the reconstruction of the Parsley Massacre (1937) in the historical novel The Farming of Bones, by the Haitian-American author Edwidge Danticat. For this purpose, the interrelationship between the characters as a reflection or overcoming of anti-Haitianist ideas, the construction of space and the treatment of Trujillism were taken into account. The research was interdisciplinary. Historical-logical methods, discourse analysis and literary analysis were used. The novel approaches the massacre from the position of the fatal conflict between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and is positioned from the author’s present.
Daniela Fernández Hernández

https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/lyl/article/view/359901

During the 16th and 17th centuries, Extremadura was one of the areas explored by German travellers passing through Europe. Although the accounts left by these travellers are scarce, they describe aspects such as the landscape, climate and natural resources of this land. They also document history and architecture, praising the Royal Monastery of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe and cities such as Badajoz and Mérida with their Roman ruins. Therefore, the subject of this article is the analytical commentary of the testimonies written in German by three expeditionaries: Sebald Örtel, Erich Lassota von Steblau and Johann Georg Gölgel.
Alfonso Corbacho Sánchez

https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/lyl/article/view/359916

This article analyzes ten Brazilian students' perceptions of using Duolingo and Tandem in ELE learning. For this purpose, an exploratory-descriptive qualitative case study was designed. The results show that participants under 30 years old positively value these applications as support tools, especially for vocabulary and constant practice. The importance of the teacher as a companion in the process and intercultural mediator is highlighted. Finally, we conclude the existence of generational gaps in the use of technology, the need for digital literacy, and the essential role of the teacher.
Andrés Felipe Campo ParedesSantiago Duarte Varela

https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/lyl/article/view/359915

This article analyzed, from the perspective of contrastive linguistics, the bilingual poetic anthology Un viejo tapiz tibetano, by Else Lasker-Schüler, translated by Jenaro Talens. The analysis had three moments: description, juxtaposition and comparison. A total of 269 translation operators were recognized, classified into: content (metaphors and culturemes) and form (style and rhythm). The work made it possible to identify figures and concepts whose retextualization proposals point to a characterization of specific terms in the language of reception and represent the universe of Lasker-Schüler's work, as well as constituting a direct bridge with extra-linguistic realities and cultural traits specific to his context.
Juan Pablo Sepúlveda CarmonaJuan Felipe Zuluaga MolinaNathalia Villamizar
