Relaciones entre orientación política y cambio social

Abstract

Abstract. Relations between societal change and its influence on the political orientation of the citizens have given the enormous number of questions, in its variety of approaches and a wide range of scenarios and responses, many of them speculative. This set of questions that need answering, has led us to think, to investigate or discuss it with many people from various disciplines, themes in many directions which allow us to answer some interim, obviously, always incomplete. This led us to try to apply a technique to approaches by force hypothetical about our political culture had a response rate of more valid and reliable. The exploratory nature of this academic work, imposed some limits on access to reference material and the scope of analysis both in the use of technical analysis contained in the conclusions to be reached. The task was confined to the analysis and manipulation of secondary data obtained in the publications of the National Statistics and Census, the reports of the Central Institute of Sociology at the University of Concepcion, and the election results by political party and province, available at the Directorate Electoral Registry. It is also used indices contained in a work by Professor Guillermo  Briones at the Central Institute of Sociology at the University of Concepción - Chile.

Resumen. Las relaciones entre cambio societal y su influencia en la orientación política de los ciudadanos han determinado el enorme número de interrogantes, de variedad en sus planteamientos y un amplio espectro de hipótesis y respuestas, muchas de ellas, especulativas. Ese conjunto de interrogantes que necesitan respuesta, nos ha llevado a pensar, a investigar o a discutirlo, con mucha gente de varias disciplinas, los temas en multitud de direcciones que nos permiten algunas repuesta provisionales, obviamente, siempre incompletas. Esto nos condujo a tratar de aplicar una técnica para que unos planteamientos, por fuerza hipotética, acerca de nuestra cultura política tuviesen un tipo de respuesta más valido y confiable. El carácter exploratorio de este trabajo académico, estableció algunos límites en cuanto al acceso al material de referencia del análisis y del alcance tanto en el uso de la técnica de análisis de contenido como en las conclusiones a que se llegaron. La tarea se limitó al análisis y manipulación de datos secundarios obtenidos en las publicaciones del Servicio Nacional de Estadística y Censos, los informes del Instituto Central de Sociología de la Universidad de Concepción, y los resultados electorales por partido político y provincia, disponibles en la Dirección de Registro Electoral. Se utilizaron también índices contenidos en un trabajo realizado por el Profesor Guillermo Briones en el Instituto Central de Sociología de la Universidad de Concepción.
