LA SEGURIDAD: UNA MIRADA DESDE EL MEDELLIN URBANO - 2005

Abstract. In current terms we can say that the perception of safety at inhabitant of the city of Medellin remains at fairly high levels. Situation hypothetically that can be associated with factors such as negotiation, both with the paramilitaries, as the combos and neighborhood gangs also increase the foot of police force, the increased attention paid to the city centre, to slow but steady growth of employment, and so on.

Resumen. En términos corrientes podemos afirmar que la percepción de seguridad en el habitante de la ciudad de Medellín se mantiene en niveles bastante altos. Situación que hipotéticamente puede estar asociada a factores tales como la negociación, tanto con los grupos de autodefensa, como con los combos y bandas barriales, igualmente al incremento del pie de fuerza policial, a la mayor atención prestada al centro de la ciudad, al lento pero constante crecimiento del empleo, etc.
