Abstract. In this paper, Jose Red Maria Guerra, proposes to reflect around the social structuring of the power that would be own of the societies of classes. He centers the attention, in the exercise of the power in the context of the class relations. Nevertheless he does not assume that the foundation of these relations is the exercise of the power. Still more, as he hopes, it is not the power, but the domination the central category of the class relations. Therefore, in the historical configuration of the social classes determinism of the power to determinism of the economic production is not against. Being based on historical evidences of the western world, Marx formulated a hypothesis picture about the causal paper of the conflicts of classes in the change of the social structure and about the determination that have the "relations of production" and the "economic base" in the configuration of that structure. To these hypotheses, among others, Marx attributed a force to them of "scientific law" in the explanation of the historical change of the social structure and she assigned the distinguishing character to them than she denominated a conception or a materialistic approach of the configuration and the change of the social structure.

Resumen. En este trabajo, José María Rojas Guerra, propone reflexionar en torno a la estructuración social del poder que sería propia de las sociedades de clases. Centra la atención, en el ejercicio del poder en el contexto de las relaciones de clase. Sin embargo no asume que el fundamento de estas relaciones sea el ejercicio del poder. Más aún, como espera, no es el poder, sino la dominación la categoría central de las relaciones de clase. Por tanto, en la configuración histórica de las clases sociales no se opone un determinismo del poder a un determinismo de la producción económica. Basándose en evidencias históricas del mundo occidental, Marx formuló un cuadro de hipótesis acerca del papel causal de los conflictos de clases en el cambio de la estructura social y acerca de la determinación que tienen las "relaciones de producción" y la "base económica" en la configuración de esa estructura. A estas hipótesis, entre otras, Marx les atribuyó una fuerza de "ley científica" en la explicación del cambio histórico de la estructura social y les asignó el carácter distintivo de lo que denominó una concepción o un enfoque materialista de la configuración y el cambio de la estructura social.
