Abstract

Abstract. The development of the City of Medellín and the Valley of Aburra like urban center of Antioquia, "was unlike other important urban centers of the country, that although delayed it became, in a brief time interval in the second city of economic the most important country and politically; and, in first half of century XX, in the main industrial center of Colombia".

Resumen. El desarrollo de la Ciudad de Medellín y del Valle de Aburr como centro urbano de Antioquía, “fue a diferencia de otros centros urbanos importantes del país, que aunque tardía se convirtió, en un breve lapso de tiempo en la segunda ciudad del país más importante económica y políticamente; y, en la primera mitad del siglo XX, en el principal centro industrial de Colombia”.
