LA SOCIOLOGIA O EL PORVENIR DE UNA ILUSION

Resumen

Abstract. THE SOCIOLOGY OR THE FUTURE OF AN ILLUSION. In our society (Medellín) this model of university (U. of A.) like satellite of the technocratic considerations and cultural industrialization, has not been possible but in small tests of university-company test. From 1968, and to half-full of the seventy, from the classrooms and the streets, it was dreamed about taking skies by assault in a realism from the impossible thing, and the universities were painted with the changing colors of the times and the races, today the imagination, sunk in the black and white one of its little reality, is paralyzed. Desgreño administrative, the short terms handling, and the contempt by the ideals of the humanistic tradition from the political class like administrator of the education, causes that the other possible model, is realised by inertia, and thinks from the gray of a sensation divided into dozens by fears, to the risk that mean to face the empire of the abuse, the corruption and the absence of audacious cultural policies that are alternative to the climate of social violence. From the  memory of 30 years of the Department of Sociology of the University of Antioch, is inevitable to think about founding figures like the teachers Luis Antonio Restrepo, Jose Maria Rojas Guerra, Maria Teresa Findji, Victor Cubides and Alfredo Molano, or in foreigners like the German professor Klaus Meschkat, and in whom they symbolize a radical spirit of the knowledge that resists to the bureaucratic exercise of science.

Resumen. LA SOCIOLOGIA O EL PORVENIR DE UNA ILUSION. En nuestro medio (Medellín) este modelo de universidad (U. de A.) como satélite de los imperativos tecnocráticos y de la industrialización cultural, no ha sido posible sino en pequeñas pruebas de ensayo de universidad-empresa. Desde 1968, y hasta mediados de los setenta, desde las aulas y las calles, se soñaba con tomarse los cielos por asalto en un realismo de lo imposible, y las universidades se pintaban con los colores cambiantes de los tiempos y las razas, hoy la imaginación, sumida en el blanco y negro de su poca realidad, se halla paralizada. El desgreño administrativo, el manejo cortoplacista, y el menosprecio por los ideales de la tradición humanística de parte de la clase política como administradora de la educación, hace que el otro modelo posible, se realice por inercia, y se piense desde el gris de una sensación adocenada por temores, al riesgo que significa enfrentar el imperio de la arbitrariedad, la corrupción y la ausencia de políticas culturales audaces que sean alternativa al clima de violencia social.
