About the Journal
The Revista Colombiana de Materiales was created in 2011 with the purpose of disseminating scientific, states of the art and/or reflection articles on topics related to the treatment of raw materials, metal, ceramics, polymers and composites processing, as well as their physical, chemical and mechanical properties and their performance when they are exposed to: high temperature, tribological conditions and/or corrosive environments, among others.
Works with a regional focus and/or authors that are just beginning in the writing of scientific articles are also welcome, due to the journal aims to publicise national and regional developments in the area of materials, as well as to promote publications by young researchers.
Each work is reviewed by 2 or 3 reviewers with a high degree of academic background and scientific experience, in order to guarantee the quality of the publications and to reach the standards that allow the Colombian Journal of Materials to be included in the information systems for scientific journals that group those of high quality and scientific relevance.
In order to promote the visibility of published work and to contribute to the generation of scientific content that can be used in vocational training, Some of the articles will be used for the periodical edition of books through which it is intended to publicize the advances that are being made in the area of materials, especially in Latin America.
