Adaptation of traditional games: hopscotch and frog for visually impaired people
Abstract
The adaptation of traditional games like golosa (hopscotch) and rana (frog) was developed in a mixed approach that allowed the recollection of experiences in the field through quality and quantity assessments. The research was focused on 24 people with different visual disabilities and ages. This research was developed in seven phases: 1) Identification, 2) Theoretical framework, 3) Population selection, 4) Variable identification, 5) Construction of the data collection instrument, 6) Hopscotch and frog design, and 7) Validation of the traditional games (hopscotch and frog). As a result of these phases two technological projects were given with traditional games and their rules and instructions in useful and accessible manner for all people.
