The Game Library, a Recreational Alternative for Integral Development in Early Childhood
Abstract
The objective of this workshop is to propose the game library as a recreational alternative that contributes to the integral development of early childhood, making it possible to fulfill children's right to play. For this, a game library proposal was designed. This proposal starts with the understanding of the theoretical elements that justify it: recreation, early childhood, and comprehensive care. Subsequently, participants are invited to become protagonists of the game, living the experience from the different playful spaces designed: Motor story, Playing with stockings, Abracadabra, Let's play in the forest, Stewed stories, Playing with caps, and A song in each heart. For the closure, a space for reflection is proposed that encourages resignification of the importance of play for the integral development of the child and the possibility of appropriating this device as a recreational alternative and exploration of multiple possibilities that strengthen the affective bond of the child with their companions and with its surroundings.
