Innovations in Planning by Modelling
Abstract
Planning by modeling involves methodological principles that have been adapted as a research variable in several sports, both individual and team (rugby, swimming, tennis) and their federal planning in Colombia. Discussions on the crisis of periodization and training programming have to do with the length of research interventions, the indiscriminate use of the concepts of periodization and programming, the forecasting of physiological adaptations, the anticipation of performance peaks, and the appearance of new concepts that make it difficult to judge the effectiveness of periodization models. Innovations in modeling arise as their own evolution and as a possible alternative to the crisis: flexible microcycles, being, at the same time, a guide for the execution and control of what has been executed, variable and optional mesocycles, dynamic and eligible cycles, control (individualized follow-up) accompanied by (daily) monitoring, among others.
