Positive Interdependence and Promoting Interaction: Cooperative Learning Components. A Case Study
Abstract
This project aimed to identify whether Physical Education teachers in an educational institution in Villavicencio (Colombia) encourage positive interdependence and promoting interaction, essential components of cooperative learning, in their classes. An intrinsic case study was designed. Non-participant observation, documentary review and interview were used as instruments. Results show that Physical Education teachers do not promote positive interdependence and promoting interaction; on the contrary, competitiveness and individualism are favored.
