Estimación de la demanda transaccional de dinero en Colombia

En este artículo se presentan los resultados de la estimación de la demanda por base monetaria en Colombia, introduciendo la relación entre depósitos sujetos a encaje y efectivo como proxy de la variable cambio tecnológico en el sistema financiero. Se muestra que uno de los vectores de cointegración puede interpretarse como una demanda por dinero en el sentido de la teoría cuantitativa. También se presentan los resultados de introducir la variable en la estimación de la velocidad de circulación.
