Endogenous institutions the importance of history

Este artículo presenta una mirada retrospectiva a las diferentes teorías de cambio institucional. Se estudian tres temas principales: la evolución de las leyes e instituciones formales, la evolución de las normas e instituciones informales y la interacción de instituciones formales e informales. El artículo se concentra tanto en los aspectos intuitivos de las teorías como en su soporte empírico. También se discuten las implicaciones de política más importantes de las diferentes teorías.
