Abstract

According to writer Clarice Lispector, nausea is an affliction of the soul which gets into crisis when something trigger it, something that stimulates sensations and actions recognized by the soul. Therefore, Lispector’s experiences appear to be more associated with absurdity. This concept will be portrayed in the story “Los obedientes” containing elements of absurdity that Albert Camus argues in The Mythe of Sisyphus. From this point, some short stories with evident traits of absurdity will be observed.
