.Abstract
Celebro las muchas afinidades electivas que me ligan a Adolfo Castañón: coinci-dimos en nuestro entusiasmo por el ensayo y la edición, por el buen estilo del pensar y del decir, por el don de la lengua española. Y sobre todo nos reúne —nos une cada vez más— nuestra común devoción por Alfonso Reyes y Pedro Henríquez Ureña, así como por la ejemplar forma de trabajo intelectual que ellos nos enseñaron. Hemos coincidido también en nuestra lectura de la obra de Octavio Paz y Ezequiel Martínez Estrada.
