Hidroxyapatite is a biomaterial that has been subject of many studies of great importance in different branches of medicine such as orthopedics and dentistry. In this research, three consecutive heat treatments were applied to chicken eggshells in order to use the Calcium Carbonate from them so the Hidroxyapatite can be synthesize by using combustion at high temperature. This process is easier than others. Finally, the product obtained after combustion reaction was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) methods.
