Xi Jinping frente a la “Segunda Generación de Políticas Étnicas” ¿continuidad o cambio?
Abstract
This work offers an overview of China’s ethnic policies, specifically focusing on their development under the leadership of Xi Jinping. The primary objective of this research is to understand the extent to which Xi has altered the relationship between the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and its various recognized ethnic minorities, especially, since some Chinese intellectuals began to advocate for a “second generation” of ethnic policies. The article analyses the changes that have occurred in this domain since 2013 and aims to evaluate whether the new ethnic policies represent a continuation of existing patterns or signify a genuine transformation.
Keywords: People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, ethnic policies, ethnic minorities, assimilation.
