Abstract
South-South Cooperation (SSC) aims to prioritize the joint development of countries in the global south, recently linked to the fulfillment of the SDGs. However, SSC presents problems, so this research focuses on examining the challenges for the implementation of SSC in Latin America in the last decade. It is proposed that these challenges have arisen due to the poor implementation of good practices and the framework for action they propose. Three strategic criteria of good practices are chosen considering their logical relationship: institutionalism, transparency and replicability. It is suggested that problems in the institutional framework do not allow for adequate systematization and analysis of data. The lack of accountability and monitoring has a direct impact on transparency, affecting the credibility and replicability of South-South cooperation projects.
