Abstract

In this article, we present a chronology of the development of items that support reading and writing. The paper analyzes changes as well as the impact on social communicative relations. As a result of technological development, a current stage deemed determining, we make a revision of new reading and writing practices. From this revision, we conclude that we do not have forcible items that allow us to support the possible disappearance of printed books, yet we can speak of the rise of new ways to read and write.
