Basic morphometric characterization of three small lakes in the municipality of the Carmen de Viboral (Antioquia), Colombia

On November’s 2003, preliminary limnological surveys were conducted in three small lakes in the east of Antioquia, Colombia. These systems are twenty years old and their main characteristics of the lakes were a low relative depth, as much as medium and maximum, also the appearence as a small water mirror. The batimetric maps and the morphometric analysis showed that the lakes one and two present an slight convex form (SCxme and SCxmi, respectively), and the lake three exhibits a linear form with more than two inflection points (Lmi), all of the lakes have a basin in “V” form.
