Search for secondary metabolites, of biological, clinical or pharmaceutical interest on the seeds and roots of Senna bicapsularis (Caesalpiniaceae), resulted in the isolation of 1,8-dihydroxy-3-methoxy-6-methyl anthraquinone (physcion), 1,8-dihydroxy-3-methyl anthraquinone (chrysophanol) and stigmasterol-dehydro stigmasterol mixture.
