Polimorfismo genético humano y su equilibrio en la población

Una de las características de la especie humana, así como de todos los seres vivos, es la variabilidad fenotípica de los individuos la cual sería la responsable de una capacidad diferencial de la mayoría de los aspectos biológicos como la viabilidad, la fertilidad o la resistencia a las enfermedades (Cavalli-Sforza y Bodmer, 1971; Nei y Roychoudhury, 1972; Nei et al., 1974). Esa variabilidad fenotípica se debe adiferencias génicas individuales intra e interpoblacionales (Barberio et al., 1987; Bonnié-Tamir et al., 1987; Cavalli-Sforza y Bodmer, 1971).
