Actividad antibiótica de una fitoalexina aislada de Cyphomandra betacea (Cav.) Sendt

Del tomate de árbol (Cyphomandra betacea) afectado por el hongo Colletotrichum gloeosporioides se aislaron dos fitoalexinas, una de las cuales es el ácido benzoico. Este compuesto muestra una alta actividad fungistática contra el hongo causante de la enfermedad.
