Abstract

The application of various aminoglycosides to banana leaves (Musa paradisiaca) induces the production of various phytoalexins. Likewise, in light of the results obtained, the role of such substances in the plant and the phenomena of susceptibility and resistance at the molecular level is discussed, structurally postulating a possible general inducer of phytoalexins.
