Revisión bibliográfica: Utilización de las células somáticas en la localización (mapeo) de los genes humanos

Hasta hace cinco años la localización (mapeo) de los genes humanos en sus respectivos 23 pares de cromosomas, exceptuando el cromosoma X, era casi imposible. Pero con los recientes avances en las técnicas de hibridización de células somáticas, complementadas con las también nuevas técnicas de coloración diferencial de los cromosomas, se ha abierto un enorme campo de investigación de los mamíferos entre los cuales está el hombre.
