This article reviews the book: Evolución. El legado de Darwin (Evolution. Darwin's legacy) published by Editorial Universidad de Antioquia (Mauricio Corredor Rodríguez, Jorge Antonio Mejía Escobar, academic editors 2018). Its author, Dr. Antonio Vélez, is an engineer, a university professor of mathematics; but, mainly, he is a renowned Science communicator (Del Big Bang al Homo sapiens, Editorial Universidad de Antioquia 1994; Homo sapiens, Villegas Editores, 2006).
Dr. Vélez affirms Evolución. El legado de Darwin is a surprising book, rare in the editorial context. It can be assured that it is unique in its field. There are eight lectures, each by a specialist in the particular topic it deals with. The eight chosen topics completely cover the panorama of the evolutionary process, from a universal scale, the physical evolution of the Cosmos, from the beginning or the Big Bang, until reaching our planet and its physical and biological evolution.
