The influence of a crossed gradient of light and temperature in the morphology of coenobiums Scenedesmus acutus Meyen var. globosus Hortobágyi was studied in comparison with coenobia that grew in natural conditions. There was no statistically significant difference found in the diameter or longitude between marginal cells and internal cells for the same coenobium, nor differences in the diameter for any intensity of light and temperature with taxonomic implications. There was a significant reduction found in the cellular length for the coenobia that grew at 30 and 40 ºC independently of the intensity of the tested light. Likewise, a reduction in cellular length was found for the coenobia that grew at 27.05 y 44.09 μmol/m2/s, independently of the tested temperature.
