Psychoanalysis and logic. The Ω operation

Abstract

Among the most outstanding "oversights" of the psychoanalysts in relation to Freud's teachings, it is that of the essentially logic statute of the unconscious. To Freud, undoubtedly, the most intimate and essential structure of the unconscious is logic and, thus, the analysis work, as much in theory as in practice, demands the development of this logic. Given that oversight or repression, the current article intends to remember what Freud said about on essential parts of his work, and to establish what could be called the consequences of psychoanalysis positioning in relation to these logical questions. With this new logic, or with its sketch, or at least with the attempt to set it up, Lacan goes deeply into the way of psychoanalytical subversion; but a process similar to that gone through by Freud’s followers can be noticed among his followers: oversight of the logic, return to the simple experience, or the ineffable and the lyric.
