Symbol, the fantasy, the imaginary and its interpretation in " the delirium and dreams in W. Jensen's Gradiva"

The attempt to understand the formation of the symbol, as fantasy and delusion, find a way in addressing these as an essential, natural and primitive form, used by the unconscious to process contents of consciousness, otherwise inaccessible. Thus, we can see the fantasy and delusion as corresponding to the imaginary order, mechanisms that play a unifying function, alternative to the most frequent defense mechanisms, which are find possibility in the symbol for expression and provide us through it understanding.
