Abstract

This paper analyzes the way in which Ce que je sais de Vera Candida appropriates the textual structures of Cien años de soledad and Cándida Erendira. Its objective is to observe how the appropriation and rewriting of these Colombian works in a French fiction contribute to highlighting gender problems. It will mainly employ approaches from French structuralism, gender studies and phenomenology. This will help to observe, from Latin America, the reception that the novels of the Colombian writer have had beyond the limits of our region.
