This article proposes an approach to the study of the “Antioquian literature” concept in the first year of the magazine El Montañés (1897-1899), based on the theoretical assumptions of Reinhart Koselleck within the framework of conceptual history. To this end, the way in which the literary criticism published in the journal constructs a concept around the artistic manifestations that it conceives as “Antioquian literature” is analyzed. Likewise, the study is prioritized in a synchronic perspective with the purpose of interpreting the facts as linguistic facts at the time.
