The fundamental purpose of this research article is to present some of the philological and critical study components that served as basis for the critical edition production of the Colombian writer Pedro Gómez Valderrama narrative work (1923-1992). Specifically, of his complete short stories (six anthologies) and the novel La otra raya del tigre (1977), a study that is part of the disciplinary fields of textual criticism and narratology as a theoretical and methodological procedure for the construction and analysis of the academic edition of the complete narrative of the mentioned writer, non-existent until now.
