A reading of Cosme by Jose Felix Fuenmayor. Notes towards a critical edition

This text is an approach to critical edition of the novel Cosme by Jose Felix Fuenmayor, Colombian writer born in Barranquilla. Some important sections that will be developed towards building a critical edition are: a biographical study of the author, which helps to understand the narrative characteristics ante origins of the work, the history of th text through which is revealed how it was made and a possible interpretation of chapter XXXV. Whit these issues the article look forward to vindicate the scientific value of critical editions and also to recue from the oblivion a novel that is a significant referent to understand the development of our narrative.
