Virtual Learning Environment implementation for the teaching of swimming at a Colombian higher education institution
Abstract
This research was carried out within a Colombian higher education institution to evaluate the effects of the implementation of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in a swimming training course in an undergraduate sports technology program. To this end, the researchers used the TPACK methodology, complementing the pedagogical, technological, and disciplinary components, articulating the teaching-learning process of the students, and encouraging them to learn in an autonomous, lively and fun way. Clearly, there is a need to create didactic strategies and a lack of didactic material to strengthen autonomous learning, which helps students to understand the factors that impact the aquatic displacement and the movement phases of the free-swimming technique.
