Abstract

This essay offers the results of the analysis of four newspapers neogranadinos (Aviso Público, Argos Americano, La Bagatela and Diario Politico de Santafé de Bogotá) during 1810 and 1812. In this sense, the main purpose is to answer the question: What political debates circulated in the texts of these papers during the 3-year span? The study aimed to investigate how these newspapers represented and reflected the society of that time.
