¿Por qué hay metas de reducción gradual de la inflación?

Muchas economías que tuvieron tasas de inflación altas al principio del decenio de los noventa, entre ellas la colombiana, emprendieron programas de desinflación que incluyeron metas de reducción gradual de la inflación. El presente artículo incorpora el tema de la reducción gradual de la inflación dentro de la literatura denominada “política anti-inflacionaria con metas” (Inflation Targeting) y revisa la experiencia colombiana de los últimos diez años.
