RESUMENEn el presente trabajo, se hará uso del pequeño relato "Funes el memorioso" como pretexto para analizar el mundo lúdico y aparentemente caótico de Jorge Luís Borges. Como Johan Huizinga ha afirmado, el juego es la base de la cultura, en el que, por tanto, se incluye a la literatura. En este estudio, se examinará cómo tal hecho se siente aquí elevado a la máxima potencia: el autor añade sus propias y peculiares reglas -que, en numerosas ocasiones, rozarán el sin sentido- arrastrando al lector, haciéndole partícipe de sus laberintos y, por tanto, de su juego. se verá, igualmente, cómo ese uso del sin sentido se hará cómplice de una intención borgiana de manifestar la imposibilidad de la representación de lo real. Es aquí donde este artículo hará uso del término posmoderno de lo rizomático para -corroborando la postura anterior- apuntar a las múltiples ramificaciones interpretativas posibles a la hora de intentar compre(he)nder la realidad.
Por otro lado, esta inclinación posmoderna observada quedará complementada por una concisa alusión a la valoración del pasado en "Funes", al igual que la presencia de una fugaz pero incisiva crítica a la vaciedad del mundo actual al simulacro.
ABSTRACT This present article makes use of the short story "Funes el memorioso" in order to analyze the ludic and misleadingly chaotic world of Jorge Luis Borges. As Johan Huizinga has asserted, play is in the base of culture, and, therefore, in literature. This study will examine how this fact is magnified in "Funes": the author adds his own and peculiar rules-which, in several occasions, will overlap with nonsense-, dragging the reader in his mission, making him a part of Borges' labyrinths and, hence, his game. At the same time, the article will explore how that use of nonsense will become part of a borgian desire to manifest the impossibility of representing reality. It is here where the study makes use of the postmodern term rhizomatic in order to point out at the multiple and possible interpretative ramifications when trying to comprehend reality. Furthermore, this postmodern inclination in "Funes" will be further analyzed throug a concise allusion to the significance of past for Funes, as well as through a presence in the story of a brief but incisive critic to the emptiness of simulacrum in today's worldDownloads
