The description of urban space in Jairo Morales Henao’s short story “El desencuentro” is possible to be interpreted from the standpoint of semiotics of space. The literary proposal of the text aims to represent a sector of Medellin in the 50’s, and for it uses some references taken from reality, such as streets and public facilities, which facilitates an interpretation of history from fiction.
