The variation is a linguistic phenomena in the locutions registered in the Diccionario Descriptivo del Valle de Aburra (DEVA). It consists in any change or alteration of morphological, grammatical, syntactic or lexical character in the phraseological unit. The variation concept questions the fixed character that the locution itself owns and opens the discussion about possibility of constant creation from the speaker and about the meaning and the speaker interpretation as well as the relation between those in the emission discursive contexts.
