This paper focuses on two benjaminian lines of thought about Infância (1945) by Graciliano Ramos. It aims to address the text of Ramos from Benjamin’s thought with a dialectic dynamics that would allow the building of a theoretical and critical device. Based, first, in the study of the notion of «mimesis» and, then, in the analysis of the notion of «reminiscence», the argumentation develops towards considerations that extend and deploy the notion of «the now of knowability» proposed by the German philosopher Walter Benjamin.
