RESUMEN A partir de la reflexión sobre tres novelas negras del escritor argentino Mempo Giardinelli: Luna Caliente (1983), Qué solos se quedan los muertos (1985) y El décimo infierno (1997), este artículo da cuenta de la utilización del género policíaco como una forma de recuperar el pasado y salvaguardar la memoria del imperioso culto rendido por el Estado al olvido.
ABSTRACT Based on three novels written by Argentinean Mempo Giradinelli: Luna Caliente (1983), Qué solos se quedan los muertos (1985) and El décimo infierno (1997), this paper offers a reflection of his use of the black novel genre as a way of going back to the past and of safeguarding the memory of the State’s cult to oblivion.
