About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Political Science Students' Journal of the University of Antioquia is a non-profit project with entirely academic purposes, as it is our interest to create a community of students who discuss various issues that concern Political Science, and also to serve as a platform that allows for the dissemination of the work and intellectual efforts of both students in this academic field and new artists.
Peer Review Process
The Editorial Board will assign, during its regular meeting held on the first and third week of each month, peer reviewers to the articles sent to the email revistaestudiantescp@udea.edu.co
The reviewers have a period of 20 days, starting from the meeting, to issue a decision which can be: publishable, publishable with corrections, or not publishable.
If the decision is publishable, the author will be notified, and the article will go directly to the copy-editing process. Subsequently, the article will be sent back to the author for careful review and acceptance of the proposed changes.
If the decision is not publishable, the author will be notified and sent the article with the reviewers' comments, so that the author, if they wish, can make the necessary changes and resubmit it at a later opportunity.
If the decision is publishable with corrections, the author will be notified and sent the article with the reviewers' comments. From the date of notification, the author has 15 days to make the changes and submit the corrected article to the Journal for a second review. The reviewers will then reassess it and issue a new decision, which may be publishable if the author has made the necessary corrections, or not publishable if the author has not made the corrections. If publishable, the text will include the style corrections, and the author will be notified to approve them and continue with the publication process.
Note
- In all cases, after being notified of the decision, the author may request a meeting with the reviewers and the Journal's director to receive further clarification regarding the comments on their text. However, the decision is final and can only be changed if, after evaluating the review process of the article, the Journal's director determines that there are sufficient reasons to submit it for a second evaluation with different reviewers.
- Deadlines may vary at the discretion of the Editorial Board, which will inform the author in due time.
