The impact of educative exclusion in social spheres

Abstract

The research project presented here is based on the findings obtained by the eight members attached to the Project 3 of Includ-ED: Strategies for Inclusion and Social Cohesion in Europe from Education, 2006-2011 (Integrated Project of the 6th European Union’s Framework Programme for Research). The main objective of the Research Project 3 has been to study how educative inclusion/exclusion influences different areas of society (such as employment, health, housing, and political participation) and to determine what kind of education contributes to overcome inequalities. In order to obtain the information, we have used both quantitative (analysis of statistical data from European databases) and qualitative (interviews) techniques. The Critical Communicative Methodology has been used, paying special attention to vulnerable social groups
