Abstract

There was a balance on historiographic research on implementation in Argentina and Brazil of Taylorism and Fordism in the twentieth century and its influence on industry and other areas of society. Starts with a conceptualization  of Taylorism and Fordism. It then presents the historiographical balance about treatment of these issues in Argentina and Brazil. It is concluded that in the studies analyzed is a central discussion each extension of Taylorism and Fordism was due to the impulse that gave employers or state initiative.

Federico Alonso Atehortúa Hurtado, University of Antioquia

Master in Environment and Development from the National University of Colombia, with ongoing studies in History at the University of Antioquia. He is the training and research coordinator of Gestión y Conocimiento S.A.S. His lines of research are knowledge management and the environment.
