Abstract

This paper aims to rebut the interpretation that George Lukacs makes of the Schopenhauer Philosophy, especially the conclusion that it sets. The author marxist argues that Schopenhauer is an apologist of capitalism taking into account only the theoretical aspect of the German thinker. However, on my view, this assertion is wrong in so far as some moral postulates are contrary to important elements of this system. To demonstrate this, I will discuss in a first moment the Hungarian author’s criticism of the philosopher of Danzig, then I will concentrate on the concept of Injustice of Schopenhauer, and finally I will discuss the phenomenon of the Compassion from the view of the very author.
