Results: there was high sport achievement motivation among football players. No statistically significant difference is found in sport achievement motivation among football players according to their playing positions. Conclusion: future qualitative researches which would cover tests including multi-variables on sport achievement motivation and other psychological characteristics should be performed to reach more detailed and concrete information.
