Abstract

Nowadays, organizations of all kinds including libraries and information units require
tools to facilitate the development of both technical and administrative activities. This
article presents ELOGIM, a tool developed at the Fundadores Library of CES University (Medellín, Colombia), as a successful experiment in the application of the knowledge discovery in databases through bibliomining context, to prepare statistical reports on
the use of electronic resources and provides information to assist decision-making and
management within the information unit, which becomes a key element to promote
knowledge management in the university academic community
