Endogenia editorial em periódicos de Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação

Este estudo examina a endogenia editorial de periódicos de Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação. A endogenia foi determinada pela análise de (1) artigos publicados pelos editores da revista, (2) artigos publicados pelo país de origem da revista e (3) autocitação da revista. O estudo utilizou cobertura de cinco anos com base em periódicos listados na Web of Science. Quanto à endogenia editorial, a linha de corte de 50% das publicações ficou em 4,51%. Porém, alguns periódicos concentraram essa endogenia de 20% a 45%. O modelo endógeno desenvolvido com as três análises gerou um sistema de eficiência de periódicos que apresentou índice moderado por quartil de periódicos, com média de quatro artigos endógenos por periódico. 50% das publicações obtiveram média de 10,70% de autocitações. Mas parte dos 50% periódicos mais endógenos obtiveram índices que variam de 11% a 75,99%, com dez periódicos acima de 30%. 50% dos artigos são do país de origem da revista. Concluímos que os níveis de endogenia foram equilibrados em média, mas alguns periódicos abusaram dela para melhorar sua classificação e impacto.
