From the ethanolic extract of the aerial part of Solanum validinervium, compounds 2-(4í-hydroxyphenyl)-ethanol and the coumarins sculetin and isoscopoletin were isolated. Their structures were elucidated by meansof spectroscopic techniques (IR and RMN-1H, RMN-13C in one and two dimensions)
